BREEDING CONSISTENCY
In six recent years, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Verdant produced the most AKC champion Norwich terriers in the USA. This is a measure of a kennels success in consistently breeding high quality dogs that meet conformation standards for a given breed. Unlike many breeders, for the most part, we and those who buy our dogs, put the championship titles on the dogs ourselves. Meaning we show against professionals who often have great influence with the judges.

Archie had a short but storied road to his championship at 8 months. He was awarded several terrier group placements which is nearly unheard of for a puppy. Archie finished his championship at the Vancover Kennel Club in Washington State. He is owned and loved by Shane Fischer and Dawn Sasse. They intend to show Archie in Canada and to AKC Grand Championship.

Axl had a short road to becoming a champion. He was shown a total of four times and won each day. At each show he earned 5 points, the highest possible that a non-champion can get. He won Best of Winners at the Norwich Terrier Club of America's Roving Speciality and Winners dog at the Lone Star Norwich Terrier Club shows in San Antonio Texas. Axl will now stay home and mature enough to compete at the Best of Breed level. Thanks to Linda Martin for letting us breed to Silas, an Apollo son.

At one of the largest terrier shows in Nor Cal, the Sacramento Kennel Club, he earned both a Owner Handled rpoup 1 and a Group 1 Bred-By Exhibor award. Russet has already sired two litters.
